As a personal trainer and coach I take what I do very seriously as people trust their health with me. I know it may just seem like being a trainer is teaching people how to workout, but it is much more important to me. Each day I get the opportunity to empower and impact my clients by making them stronger, healthier and even happier. There is so much information and influence with health and fitness nowadays it can be a challenge to know who to listen to and simplify our lives with the best information.

FITNESS CONSULTATION

From the moment I meet a potential client I want to lead them in the right direction. I accomplish this by assessing their health using the InBody270 Body Composition Scale at my studio. The scale gives an accurate measurements of: body weight, skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage, basal metabolic rate, water weight and BMI. The client will receive a printed copy of their results along with me guiding them on the best workouts, nutrition and supplements based on their current health. For example, if a client has a hard time with weight loss and they are on a low calorie diet, I will implement changes to their diet to improve their metabolism along with recommend personal training to improve their strength and muscle mass.

Each month, I recommend monthly weigh-ins to monitor if they are gaining muscle and losing body fat percentage. If they are still struggling I will make changes to their nutrition and overall lifestyle. Each of us are unique and require different changes. Some of us require an increase in protein and some may require cutting things our like dairy or carbs. My goal is to see progress in the soonest time possible and making lifestyle changes.

TRAINING / WORKOUTS

I do not believe in beginner workouts or even suggesting a modified version of exercises. In order to change a person's health I have to change their mindset. I want them to believe they can accomplish anything they put their mind to and if they think something is for beginners, when does a person believe they are progressing or improving. They will always have that mentality. So, from the moment a client starts with me I put them through workouts that make them stronger and gives them the confidence of accomplishment. This way they never feel like they are a beginner and other people are at a better fitness level then them.

My training style is a fusion of my different backgrounds of bodybuilding, functional training and athletic performance that comes from years of training. I also incorporate boxing and yoga movements to help my clients with their overall body performance. Combining strength training in a circuit fashion along with core and body weight calisthenics allows my clients to focus on body composition of improving their muscle mass while decreasing body fat percentage at the same. time.

STRENGTHS / WEAKNESSES

We all have strengths and weaknesses. It is up to me as a coach to help my clients understand their strengths and weaknesses. If a client is not getting low enough on squats it may be due to hip flexibility or weak hamstrings. If a client is having a struggle with pushups, I will help them improve their core and triceps strength with exercises such as planks, dips and triceps extensions. However, sometimes our weakness may not be physical. If someone has a struggle with low energy it could be from a lack of sleep, hydration or work stress. It is important for me to help my clients by figuring out what they need to make improvements on.

CUSTOM WELLNESS

If you go to the doctor, they will tell you "Okay John. You need to lower your weight, improve your physical activity, lower your cholesterol and also manage your stress." When I am working with a client I have the same approach to their goals. I customize a workout plan specifically for their goals, along with nutrition and supplements. I provide meal prep at my studio available for my clients along with my exclusive line of sports and performance supplements. This allows me to customize a plan individually for each person. We are all at different health and fitness levels and we all require different needs, which I provide for my clients. I care about seeing my clients progress and achieve their goals. It gives me great joy as a coach in seeing their happiness and excitement from reaching their goals.
